Vivo APEX 2019 unveiled with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM, 5G, and no ports or buttons

Vivo APEX 2019

Vivo announced APEX 2019 as promised in China, the company’s latest concept phone. This device does not have any ports or buttons, similar to the Meizu Zero that was launched yesterday. Vivo announced APEX 2019 features a curved glass design on the rear side whereas Meizu Zero features ceramic. The device does not feature 3.5mm audio jack, replaces physical buttons with pressure-sensitive power and volume buttons and also doesn’t have a USB port, instead, it relies on a magnetic port Vivo calls MagPort, that connects to the bottom part of the back cover for charging and data transfer.

It features 6.39-inch AMOLED display, powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, packs 256GB or 512GB of storage, 12GB of RAM and 5G. The display of the vivo Apex 2019 acts as the speaker by using a piezoelectric transducer to emit sound. It sports 12MP + 13MP dual rear camera and no information about selfie camera.

Meizu Zero features IP68 certification and Vivo does not provide any information on this. First in Vivo uses a fingerprint technology that allows users to unlock the phone by placing your finger almost anywhere in the display, and it also supports two finger unlocking.

Vivo will show off the Apex 2019 concept phone at the Mobile World Congress in February.
