The Meizu Zero is the world’s first phone without physical buttons, speaker grill, USB port for wired charging, no SIM card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. The only physical features are smooth ceramic build, the camera bump and tiny holes for the microphone and hard reset.
The device features an in-display fingerprint scanner, 18W wireless charging (making it the fastest-charging phone wirelessly), haptic feedback for “virtual” volume and power buttons on the side (similar to HTC U12+), and uses eSIM technology. Meizu is using a technology called “mSound 2.0.” to emit the sound without a speaker, the sound actually emits from the display itself.
The Meizu Zero features a 5.99-inch OLED display, sports 20MP+12MP dual rear cameras (consisting of the Sony IMX 380 and IMX 350 AI sensors), 20MP selfie camera, powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC, Waterproof and dustproof (IP68) and it’s 7.8mm thin. Meizu did not share any information on the RAM, storage, or pricing and availability. The Meizu Zero will come in Black or White.
